Touched
After 15 hours straight in school today...I'm now super-ultra burned out...Yet, I'm writing this entry...well... to thank the many people...who have made an impact in my life...in one way or another..

Last Monday...I finally turned eighteen... It's such a sweet number....and together with the many new things i can do with the magic number, it's certainly a day to remember. Buying and drinking alcohol, obtaining a driving license, entering pubs...the restrictions are certainly less imposed than before...Yet, as i celebrate another turning point in my life, I don't feel smug about it and gloat about it...Instead, I feel a deep sense of sadness...that finally, I'm starting on the path towards adulthood... and away from the simplicity and joy of childhood and teenage life. Gosh, all those days of playing basketball daily, slacking in classes, even phototaking with my class during photoshoot (as i glanced at the pictures of my classmates on my study wall)....all these moments will soon come to an end... Guess all good things DO come to an end...

Anyway, on a happier note, Monday was certainly a day not to forget...Never in my life had i receive so many smses of well-wishes(25 smses!) Ok...that may not seem a lot to some...but personally...I'm touched with the response and would sincerely THANK EVERYONE for wishing me in one way or another...be it sms, just saying "Happy Birthday!" or even calling me...I really APPRECIATE it...Thanks!

As for Thursday, Switchfoot came to TJ! OMG...I mean...U don't get to see a live band in school everyday....only thing is...J2s aren't excused to watch the band! ARGHH!!! I ended up sneaking off to the audi with a few classmates to watch the bands...ended up watching only half and hour of some local band playing some pretty cool music...before i got bundled out of the audi...never got a chance to watch the band in action. :(

Today was CNY carnival! Picture scenes of red festivities and red banners and red decorations.. which matches the red running tracks of TJ and the red tentage...haha....problem is...just 2 hours before the start of the carnival...it got to RAIN.... The approximately $3,000 spent on tentage was literally gone to waste...and the wet weather plan nearly got screwed up...all no thanks to the awful wet weather. Nevertheless, the united and coordinated effort by our fellow H.C. mates managed to save the day! Kudos to them! Anyway, the highlight of the
entire programme was the dunking station, where we got to see our favourite teachers get....what else...DUNKED! To see Mr. Ivan Lim, Mr. Daniel Ng, and Miss Aileen Wong kena dunked was an eye-opener...(partially because i got them to participate...*wink)...to see our DM Mr. Francis Tong kena dunked was the icing on the cake. HAHA! Actually, there was some drama to that scene, whereby apparently, his son, whom I believe was no older than 6, wanted to get dunked with him. OMG! I mean, it was certainly a nerve-wrecking sight to be seated with like half the TJ cohort staring at you, and waiting for the-lucky-fellow's-toss-to-hit-the-target-which-will-send-the-plank-
holding-the-weight-of-the-unlucky-person-crashing-into-the-icy-
cold-water experience...that was certainly no easy feat! But well, they got dunked in the end and everyone got their share of the laughter and cheering. Apart from the 2 hour clean-up, which nearly broke every bone in my body...i guessed I'm rather happy to be back in the comforts of home..

Today's birthday card from Melissa, Dennis and Cheng Ying was certainly the sweetest thing I've received for that day! THANK YOU!!! ;P

Chinese New Year in 6 days...Road Run in 5 days...4 day holiday in less than a week...I can't WAIT! :D
